The Reflection of the Logo

There are times when I see a company logo and wonder, “How did they arrive at that?”

It dawned on me that many who follow me or subscribe to this newsletter probably don’t know the story behind the logo of the RP4C brand.

You may have seen or known that RP4C is the acronym for Reaching People 4 Careers™️… but did you know that in career coaching work, we zoom in on four critical things so your career can be built on a firm foundation?

Let me take you back to four years ago…

I met Kristin Sherry in the early Spring of 2018. What a God-send she was for me. I had a strong pull towards something more than Executive Recruiting, but I couldn’t quite put my thumb on what that was. Career Coaching was “around,” but not overly known. When I discovered her on LinkedIn, I finally had a picture of what this looked like.

As I began to go through some Career Coaching with her, I was working on my business planning for RP4C in early June of that same year. Through prayer, planning, and creating I was led to work on four critical areas with clients:

  • What are you naturally good at doing? (Strengths)

  • What are your parameters to get forward progress in your career? (Values)

  • What are your preferred skills and how might they be transferable to something else? (Skills)

  • What is your workplace personality and how does that blend with where you’re headed? (Personality)

While we were going through coaching, I had the extreme privilege of learning about the assessment tool she was creating before it launched. Kristin described the things I had already written down. How about that for serendipity! So of course I jumped at the opportunity to join the first cohort of YouMap® Certified Coaches in the Fall of 2018. The YouMap® Report hones in on the 4 Pillars of Career Satisfaction:

  • Strengths

  • Values

  • Skills

  • Personality

Balance is achieved when each of those areas is properly addressed in one’s life to see true career alignment. This is the firm foundation on which my clients start and propels us into the wonderful work of branding based on the discovery of their career path.

In the logo, you’ll notice the enlarged number four. As with all things I do, it was designed with intention.

You might imagine yourself starting at the bottom and traveling up… just like you did in your early career.

And then somewhere along the way, somehow, you had to take a re-direct. This is the angled part of the number where you travel seemingly “off-path.”

But as you gain the clarity you need, the strategy to move forward, you pivot… and you’re exactly where you need to be in your career.

True Career Alignment!

The number four represents creation and things that are made. I really love that. In my vision is the sweet awareness that I partner with my Creator to help clients see their path forward, the one for which each has been created for such a time as this. It’s thrilling!

So now when you see the RP4C Logo™️ you will know that it was designed with you in mind.

Godspeed on your career journeys!
